It was one of those days where you really didn’t want to go outside. The kind that make you wonder why you don’t live someplace warm like California…or Tahiti.
Luckily, we had lots of love and layers to keep us warm that day (okay, a little champagne too), and pulled off a styled shoot that was actually more like a super-authentic vow renewal! Our models Nishka and Paul tied the knot over a year ago in a backyard ceremony that was hard to beat - but we were so inspired by their real-life love and just knew that they would be the perfect couple to work with to bring the vibe of this winter elopement to life.
It’s important for us to highlight that the use of the tipi in this shoot isn’t to capture a bohemian trend, but rather, to give a nod to the indigenous cultures that are an integral part of Montana’s history and culture. Home to the Kootenai, Salish, and Blackfeet tribes, the area in and around Glacier National Park is called the “Backbone of the World” by the Blackfeet tribe.
Spend a little time in Glacier National Park (and with some of these incredible images), and you will soon understand why.
