Going With The Flow When The Weather Is Unpredictable

Ashley and Kirk started their elopement day by getting ready separately to ensure a big reveal during their ceremony. Jen helped Ashley get dressed at Ashley’s Airbnb, during which a gorgeous, bright, full rainbow stretched across the horizon. A wonderful celebration put on by nature!

After taking the time to admire the rainbow, the gang headed up to Sun Point. They noticed that there was a pretty wild snowstorm happening behind them as they drove. They later found out that it accumulated around 5 inches of snow on the ground, causing a closure of the pass about 30 minutes after they drove through it. Wild indeed! This is a great example of how the weather and your plans can change at the drop of a hat, so it’s always important to be prepared for anything! It really adds to the adventure though, trust us. The pass closure resulted in the need for them to take the east route through St. Mary’s back.

However, luckily before the snowstorm caught up to them, there was a break in the rain at Sun Point and they got to have their ceremony there! Following the beautiful ceremony, the rain returned and they headed out to St. Mary’s to take their photos. When they finished their photos and were heading out of the park, the most beautiful cotton candy sunset stretched across the sky. Naturally, they pulled the car over and took some more photos!

Nature came in full force on this day and put on a beautiful show! Thank you for choosing us to share it with you, Ashley & Kirk!
