Sweeter than Syrup on a Waffle //Kristen & Pierce//

I realize that I am probably a little biased, but the Elope Montana team gets to work with the best couples. From their love stories to their go-with-the-flow attitudes on their little big day, it’s such an honor to get these beautiful snapshots into their lives, and Kristen and Pierce were no exception!

Their first “date” was at a waffle house, but it didn’t start off with intentions for romance. See, they were both traveling cross-country to spend New Year’s with mutual friends, and thought they would get to know each other a little better so they at least weren’t strangers over there. They bonded over their shared love for college football and the Georgia Bulldogs, particularly that years’ recruiting class. Their conversation felt so natural, and they hit it off so easily that Kristen didn’t hesitate to hop in Pierce’s truck to go get ice cream and see his chickens. Pierce was so smitten that first night, that he wasn’t even mad when Kristen spilled her ice cream in there - he just wanted to see her again. After a few months of getting to know each other, they made their relationship official on February 18th.

So it was a no-brainer for these two to say “I do” to one another on the same day, 6 years later. What might have been more of a surprise was their decision to come from down South (where it’s a heck of a lot warmer right now) to get married in Glacier National Park, Montana.

They arrived to a veritable winter wonderland with a handful of family and close friends in tow.

On their elopement day, Pierce and his family got ready at the Firebrand Hotel in downtown Whitefish. At the same time, Kristen and her crew enjoyed a morning of getting ready at the Clydesdale Outpost. Kristen, already a natural beauty with amazing hair, enjoyed getting perfectly glammed up with Shayna Beauty. The Clydesdales out at the property were certainly enamored with Kristen (and her gorgeous bouquet)!

The couple drove separately to Glacier National Park so that Pierce and Kristen could do their first look just as their ceremony was about to start. Pierce, looking dapper in a cobalt suit and cream-colored hat looked out upon the peaks of Glacier, then turned around to see his beautiful bride for the first time.

Their ceremony was filled with giggles and tears, filled with stories and memories that brought them to their moment of saying “I do.” After sealing it with a kiss and signing their marriage license, they gallivanted around the park with Lindsey Jane and Erin for photos and videography - before going back to Whitefish to catch the picturesque winter scene, then Josephine’s Speakeasy for an incredible dinner and drinks with their crew. It’s elopements like this that remind us of how much fun it can be to have a handful of your best friends in tow.

We were delighted to get to laugh, cry, and capture this sweet couple on their elopement day. Thank you to Kristen + Pierce for deciding to tie the knot with us in Montana!
