The more you know— 2026 Glacier National Park news

This summer Glacier National Park has done AWAY WITH the timed reservation system. This means, you can enter the park at whatever time you’d like without having to go online to get a reservation beforehand.

The park will pilot a ticketed-only, Going-to-the-Sun Road shuttle system with early morning express routes to Logan Pass. They are also limiting parking at Logan’s Pass for three hours starting July 1, weather permitting.

*** WHAT THIS MEANS FOR YOU***

Really it will not affect our operations at Elope Montana or your wedding day in the least. We typically head out for your ceremony (thanks to our LATE sunsets!) around 3 pm. Around 5pm., we usually see cars headed back to the bigger towns for dinner, leaving more space for us to explore and adventure. The parking at the pass will not affect us either, as sometimes we stop there to explore, but not for more than 3 hours.

We just wanted to give you a heads up for your days off enjoying the park after your wedding. For more shuttle info you can look here- https://www.recreation.gov

Other park updates for 2026—

The rumors have been rumoring… about Two Medicine this summer. But, overall good news is that Two Medicine WILL BE ACCESSIBLE for the peak summer season (May 29–September 7).

*The campground will be CLOSED all summer.

*Trails may be limited but the boat company will be doing boat tours and the camp store will be open.

* Spring/Fall season Two Medicine Road will be closed at either the Running Eagle Falls Trailhead or the park boundary.

AND… sometimes you can expect some weather… but it only helps the VIBE of full on ROMANCE!

We hope you found this helpful. Please contact us with any questions you may have concerning the park and it’s operations this summer. We can’t wait to capture your elopement day!
