A Rising Super Moon Elopement

Oh my! Melisa & Elias were just the most kind and beautiful couple. Sooooo laid back! They kicked off the day by meeting in West Glacier. Charlotte- a budding film photographer joined Lindsey to do some fun artsy film shots (sometimes you get lucky!). The gang headed up to the east side to Sun Point, along Going-to-the-Sun Road. Unfortunately, they got caught following the SLOWEST CAR- that was driving in the middle of the lane! Yikes! That just means more time to really appreciate the views from the car.

They still somehow ended up making it to the ceremony spot early, so they hiked (with Erin carrying Melissa’s dress) into Baring Falls. Once there, Melissa got in her dress and we did a first look in front of the falls. It was so beautiful. Erin said she would love to see more first looks. We hiked back to the ceremony spot where Erin performed the most beautiful ceremony in the most heavenly place! Near the end of the ceremony- the tour boat on St. Mary Lake cut its engine and all at once the boat riders yelled up CONGRATULATIONS. It was such a beautiful moment. We get chills just thinking about it. Melissa was so caught up in the excitement of just getting married that she didn’t even hear the boat- sometimes the day seems like a happy blur for couples.

They said goodbye to Erin and headed up the road where they ran into bighorn sheep at Logan’s Pass. Once the sheep departed, they witnessed the most magical sunset, while enjoying a cake & bubbly celebration. Their final plan was to make it down to Lake McDonald for some night lake photos- but then they looked at one of the peaks and the almost full super moon was rising. It was the most serendipitous moment as there was a pull-off (one of Lindsey’s favorites) open! So they ended the night with kisses underneath the rising moon. Check it out in the gallery below!
