Embrace the Mud! Sydney and Michael’s Adventure Elopement

Sydney and Michael wanted to do a first look in the park but only had one car. So what did they do? They got creative and put up a divider in the car and Michael drove and Sydney sat in the back. Such a fun way to be together but still keep the surprise alive.

We did the first look by the beautiful Lake McDonald Creek and then headed to their ceremony spot to meet up with family. We say this a lot, but it’s good to have a plan B. There was a wedding going on at what we thought was going to be their spot. So, we decided to drive down the road a bit to the beautiful Hungry Horse Reservoir and do their ceremony there. It turned out to be so pretty! Sydney loves the “Twilight” look, and we honestly had the perfect setting for it there.

After an incredible ceremony led by Elisheba on the water, we celebrated with cake. Their cake topper was the CUTEST! It resembled a little campsite setting, with a cup of coffee for her and hot cocoa and marshmallows for him. Gotta love those little details!

We said goodbye to their family and headed back to the park. Lindsey found the perfect “Twilight-esque” field and it was a bit soggy… but Sydney didn’t mind getting her dress nice and muddy. If you are going to have a real elopement adventure, get the dress dirty, and don’t sweat it! It was so beautiful. (Also, be sure to take a look at how beautiful Sydney’s dress was!! The gorgeous plant details on the dress were unreal.)

They ended the evening with a romantic dinner just the two of them. We are so glad you two adventured by car from San Antonio Texas to Montana! What an amazing couple you are and we wish you all the LOVE for not only each other but for all those animals you shelter and love as well. They are lucky to have you both!

XOXO, Elope Montana
