An Autumn Scottish Adventure Elopement

Just try not to smile while looking at these. It’s tough not to! It will also make your heart feel really really warm. Even though the wind was relentless that day…

Stewart wore a traditional Royal Stewart Scottish tartan and Libby had the Royal Stewart sash over her dress. How cool is that? The wind tried to blow us away but, as you can see, it just made for the sweetest captures of their love for one another.

Music is a big part of their lives, both before they were together and after they met. So they wanted to have musicians at the ceremony. Lindsey connected Libby with Kati and Annette, singers/songwriters extraordinaire. The duo reworded and sang two of Libby and Stewart’s favorite songs for them. It was beyond magical on the shore of Lake McDonald. They had a traditional hand-fasting ceremony, which comes from an ancient Celtic practice. This and the beautiful vocals and guitar from Tin Finley gave Lindsey full chills and all the feels!

The couple then signed their marriage license and headed up the road (for the LAST time this season, as they shut it down the next night due to snow!) The wind was so strong that Lindsey thought it would pull the door off her car! But Libby and Stewart smiled and cuddled through it all.

A huge CONGRATULATIONS to you two! We are so excited to welcome you to your new home in Montana and the Elope Montana team feels blessed to have met you and captured your big day!

XOXO, Elope Montana
