Ride or Die, Especially when it’s Raining

Ryan & Elizabeth are just so cool. It’s sometimes a gamble when having an elopement in Montana in the fall and for this one, the rain started in the morning and didn’t stop.

Lindsey met the couple and their family at the cutest rental for the some getting ready photos and the first look. Their daughter Avery was so sweet and helpful in getting Elizabeth ready and into her dress. We all want our SO (significant other) to look at us the way Ryan looked at Liz when her first saw her!

The family and couple packed into various cars and made thier way to the Hungry Horse Reservoir. This is Elisheba’s favorite ceremony area, there is such a stillness and calm to the water and mountains in the fall. The group met her there and we caravaned to the ceremony spot.

And no, the rain hadn’t stopped. But that didn’t dampen spirits! We got the umbrella’s out and made our way to the water, it was really pretty seeing the rain make its patterns on the lake. Vows were shared and tears definitely gathered when Ryan said vows to his daughter Avery. The couple included a small burning element into the ceremony, releasing what no longer served them.

Everyone was all smiles as we tried to find some shelter in the trees, Lindsey captured the sweetest family photos within a maze of umbrellas. The couple and Lindsey went their seperate way to capture more sweet moments in Glacier National Park and even thought the rain kept going, the love never stopped.
